Pray Until You Can Swim.

Pray Until You Can Swim.

Recognizing your level in Christ is essential to your spiritual growth. When you truly understand where you are, you’ll begin to see the need to go deeper and grow higher in Him.

In Ezekiel 47:3-5, we see a powerful picture of spiritual levels. The water starts at the ankles, a beginning point. It’s a great start, but it’s not enough of God in your life to sustain you through deeper trials.

Then the water rises to the knees. This represents growth; you're learning, developing, and becoming stronger. But at this level, you must keep pressing forward, because it’s easier to fall back than it is to move ahead.

Next, the water reaches the waist. Here, there is stability. You’re grounded, and growth is clearly taking place. But even this is not the final level.

The ultimate place is where the water becomes deep enough to swim. This is complete immersion, fully surrendered, fully connected, and fully dependent on God, and reaching this level requires prayer.

There is an exchange that happens when we pray. In prayer, heaven responds. God releases wisdom, understanding, and discernment. He gives power, clarity, and the ability to recognize answers even before they fully appear. Prayer strengthens your spirit and deepens your relationship with Him.

When you are deeply connected to Christ, fear loses its grip. You’re no longer standing in shallow water; you are swimming, and when you can swim, you can handle the waves of life.

So I urge you: pray more. Go deeper. Don’t settle for the shallow places when there is a deeper dimension available to you. Pray until you can swim.
